Program Information

Wheatland Spikes Softball is a competitive fastpitch softball program for girls ages 7 to 18. Our mission is to develop young athletes who are prepared to compete at the highest levels of the game. We are committed to helping our players grow both on and off the field, with a strong focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We take pride in preparing our athletes for the next level by guiding them through the college recruiting process and providing valuable exposure to college coaches and programs. Through top-tier coaching and a supportive environment, the Wheatland Spikes help young players reach their full potential—both as athletes and as individuals. Read more
team tryouts

Team Tryouts are scheduled in June/July each year. Registration will open in early June. Players should register for the tryout that corresponds to the age they will be on September 1st of the CURRENT year. Questions or looking for a private tryout? Call or email our office! Read more
Additional Programming

All Spikes teams have team training at the NEW WAA Training Center, Go For It Sports Dome, Waubonsie Valley HS and access to training with D1 Sports. Read more
Facilities

Opening in the November 2025! The NEW WAA Softball/Baseball Training Center with 8 cages and workout area for Spikes teams and players. In addition, Spikes teams have off season workouts at Go For It Sports and Waubonsie Valley High School. WAA has outdoor fields dedicated to Spikes teams for outdoor practice and game play. The Wheatland Athletic Association offers softball programs for all ages and abilities including Recreational Leagues, Camps & Clinics, and Spikes Fast Pitch Softball.
